Research Topics:
Signal transduction in pathogenic fungi. Investigation of protein kinases and protein phosphatases. Identification and characterization of fungus specific genes. Search for novel antifungal agents, testing the effect of nucleotide and nucleoside analogs on pathogenic fungi.

Special methods / technologies:
Molecular biology techniques: DNA hybridization, polymerase chain reaction, quantitative RT PCR, DNA cloning, and DNA sequencing. Biochemical techniques: protein purification, SDS PAGE, generation of polyclonal antibodies, Western blotting and other immunological methods, assay of enzyme activities.
